Jakob is Co-Founder & CEO of Butter, which is a full workflow tool for facilitating online collaborative sessions. Butter has a fully remote team of 17 people spread across 10 countries. Before that, Jakob founded StreamCrux, a game streaming startup that was also built as a remote company. Previously built and scaled one of South East Asia’s largest digital agencies as Managing Director for the Indonesian office and subsequently regional Group Director. Part of an exit in late 2016. John is the co-founder of the Work From Anywhere team, a global tax marketplace to help companies with remote workers make work from anywhere a reality. He is a Chartered Accountant who speaks 6 languages and previously co-founded CultureMee, an intercultural awareness platform which won “Best Travel Technology Product” at the Global Youth Travel Awards in 2018. Prior to CultureMee, he was the senior finance leader of a €4 billion division of CRH Plc, a FTSE-listed company. John and his family are passionate about travelling and his eldest daughter, Rosa, is only 5 years old but has already travelled to 24 different countries.
Matthias is a location independent entrepreneur with a passion for community and ecosystem development. He is growing Bansko, a mountain resort in Bulgaria, into one of the premier destinations for digital nomads. At Coworking Bansko he is turning nomads into residents since 2016. At the moment he is constructing Coliving Bansko, a 42 unit purpose built coliving space, together with investors from the community. He regularly speaks and mentors at various tech, coworking and startup events. Once a year he organizes Bansko Nomad Fest, a week-long celebration of the location independent lifestyle. Jan de Jong moved to Croatia in 2006 at age 22 when he founded M+ Group. Today, M+ Group has a listing on the Zagreb Stock Exchange and employs over 8.000 people across the region. He then founded Webpower Adria – the first company in the region specialising in email marketing automation.
He has since become a father of 4, and a household name – championing the digital nomad permit in Croatia, to make this one of the most attractive places on the planet to live the remote work lifestyle.
Jan is president and co-founder of the Digital Nomad Association (DNA) Croatia, a non-profit organisation formed to unite and serve digital nomads, working with the private and public sector.
